There’s a story behind this beauty…
After beautiful red blooms for weeks I noticed all of the leaves and flowers had been eaten by the squirrels, so I decided to buy a bright orange hibiscus and plant it in the same pot with the leafless stick. If I remember correctly only two flowers had an opportunity to bloom before the squirrels had eaten the second hibiscus.
For a quick second, I felt as if the squirrel had defeated me, but quickly realized that I am smarter and more determined. At that moment I decided to cover the entire plant in a mesh netting. I watered and talked to the hibiscus every day, even when I did not see any growth.
Six weeks later this happened.
This is how God works in our lives. When we can’t see any growth or changes he’s always working behind the scenes and then suddenly things fall into place. This is one of the many gifts given to me by my Grandmother, and for that I am forever grateful.
